Sea's Calling

Sea's Calling was composed in the summer of 2012 as a commission for the Denver School of the Arts Orchestra (DSAO) to play at the 2013 Colorado Music Educator’s Association Conference. It depicts the sea’s exciting and exhilarating nature as it beckons all to it. The inspiration for writing the piece, however, came from remembering seeing the ocean many years ago when the DSAO went on tour to Costa Rica in 2010. Written in 6/8 time at Allegro con fouco, Sea’s Calling is as thrilling as the sea itself.
